The Kalamazoo State Theatre is excited to announce Herbology Presents: The Big Lebowski Saturday,May 15th. Get your “Dude” on and watch this cult classic movie the way it was meant to be seen…on the big screen at the Kalamazoo State Theatre!
The Big Lebowski (1998): Jeff `The Dude’ Leboswki is mistaken for Jeffrey Lebowski, who is The Big Lebowski. Which explains why he’s roughed up and has his precious rug peed on. In search of recompense, The Dude tracks down his namesake, who offers him a job. His wife has been kidnapped and he needs a reliable bagman. Aided and hindered by his pals Walter Sobchak, a Vietnam vet, and Donny, master of stupidity.
COVID-19 Safety Information
Due to guidelines implemented by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, all events held at the Kalamazoo State Theatre will be reduced capacity and subject to social distancing guidelines until further notice. Temperature checks and masks will be required to enter the facility and attend the event. All seating will be reserved and separated into pods of no more than four (4) to ensure social distancing.
All seating is reserved and assigned by pods of no more than 4. Please find your entry time at the top of your ticket. The first entry time is 1 hour and 45 minutes before show time. You must enter with your entire pod. No refunds.
This event is rated R: Restricted, Children Under 17 Require Accompanying Parent or Adult Guardian. This rating means the film contains adult material such as adult activity, harsh language, intense graphic violence, drug abuse and nudity.

How big of a purse can I bring?
You can bring any purse or bag with the dimensions of 8 inches wide
by 5 inches tall with a width of 2 inches or less. If your purse does not
meet the above requirements, you are allowed to bring a clear plastic bag,
no larger than 1 gallon, into the venue with your belongings.
What if I need ADA assistance?
Anyone with ADA needs and requiring additional time to be seated may enter 15 minutes prior to posted door time. For more information about accessible seating click here. Please be advised that event times are subject to change due to a variety of conditions including inclement weather, illness, and transportation delays that are out of our control. For this reason, any delayed events performing on the original event date are nonrefundable.
I may need to take a break, is there intermission or opener?
There will be no intermission during the film. Please plan accordingly.
I’m a smoker, can I smoke outside and come back in?
At this time, we are temporarily not allowing re-entry into the building due to updated safety procedures.

YES! You can buy tickets online here or during normal box office hours below.
What is the camera & mobile device policy?
Unless otherwise posted, absolutely NO professional photography, audio or video recording of any kind is allowed during the performance. Cell phone photography and point-and-shoot cameras are allowed. Professional cameras and detachable lens cameras are NOT allowed in the venue unless approved by management.
Will I be searched prior to entering the theatre?
Due to heightened security measures all patrons are subject to search, pat down, and wanding. Please have your ticket & ID ready and be prepared to open your coat or small purse. The following items are not allowed in the venue: guns, knives, lasers, tasers, mace, glass items, cameras, selfie sticks, outside food or beverage, no bags or purses over the dimensions of 8 inches wide by 5 inches tall with a width of 2 inches, and other items that may challenge public safety. Where can I park for this event?
Kalamazoo State Theatre’s main parking lot is located just south of the
theatre at the intersection of South Burdick & Cedar St. and is available
starting at 5:00p.m. for $10 per car. For additional parking options, please

How do I pick up Will Call tickets?
Will call tickets will be available for pick up at the Kalamazoo State
Theatre box office beginning at 5:15PM on the day of the event. We will need to see a valid photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets to pick up from will call.
When will the box office be open?
Standard box office hours are Fridays 11:00a.m. – 6:00p.m. and show days
starting at 3:00p.m. Hours may vary on event days. Please see upcoming
Fri. 5/14: 11:00am – 8:30pm
Sat. 5/15: 3:00pm – 8:30pm
Will concessions and bar be open at this event?
Our concessions open when doors open. We offer a full bar with
multiple points of sale throughout the venue & we accept cash or credit. All
concessions may be taken to your seat. Please make sure to try out our
new recycling initiative, The Yucket, when disposing of plastic
cups. Popcorn is available for purchase at the bar.
