It’s not Christmas without the Griswold family!

Spend this holiday season at your favorite historical theatre surrounded by friends and join the Griswold family as Honor Credit Union presents our annual screening of smash hit 1989 film National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation under the twinkling stars at historic Kalamazoo State Theatre Saturday, December 16th!

“Where do you think you’re going? Nobody’s leaving. Nobody’s walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas! No! No!  We’re going to have the hap-hap-happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny Kaye!”

Come early and take your picture with the Griswold station wagon provided by the author of The Giving Bag Book.  We’re also doing a costume contest, so break out your Cousin Eddie bathrobe, your favorite ugly Christmas sweater or your best Clark outfit and you could win a prize!  Plus, take part in our pre-show trivia for a chance to win one-year membership in the jelly-of-the-month club from Bilberry Jams and Jellies!

KST will also be offering multiple full bars along with festive Holiday drinks and of course, freshly popped popcorn!

About Seita Scholars Program:

Growing up in foster care typically brings many additional challenges to Seita Scholars that are not often shared with the general student population. In addition to Seita Scholars Program staff, Seita Scholars also have support of many others on campus and in the community including:

  • Seita Scholars First-Year Seminar instructors and student leaders
  • Seita Scholars peer mentors
  • AFSCME Local 1668 and other volunteers
  • Career mentors
  • Amazing staff members in other WMU departments and programs

The Seita Scholars program staff and Seita Scholars peer mentors work to level the playing field in seven life domains.

Storyline:
It’s Christmas time and the Griswolds are preparing for a family seasonal celebration, but things never run smoothly for Clark, his wife Ellen and their two kids. Clark’s continual bad luck is worsened by his obnoxious family guests, but he manages to keep going knowing that his Christmas bonus is due soon.
