With his rich, deep voice and distinctive style, MCA Nashville recording artist Josh Turner is one of country music’s most recognizable hit-makers and he’s bringing his traditional country music style to the Kalamazoo State Theatre February 27th!
From his 2003 Platinum-selling debut Long Black Train to his 2017 Billboard No. 1 release, Deep South, Turner has scored multiple GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM Awards nominations and received six Inspirational Country Music Awards. As one of the youngest members inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, Turner has sold more than 8 million units, topped more than 1.5 billion in global streaming and populated radio with such memorable hits as “Hometown Girl,” “Would You Go With Me,” “Your Man,” “Time Is Love,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and “Long Black Train.”
The Kari Lynch Band is an accomplished Country/Americana/Pop-Rock band based in Nashville, TN, originally hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan. The band has played thousands of shows across the U.S and abroad, played to crowds in the tens of thousands and has released two full-length albums, as well as several EP’s and singles.

We are thrilled to host Josh Turner WSG Kari Lynch Band at the Kalamazoo State Theatre on Thursday, February 27th!
How big of a purse can I bring?
You can bring any purse or bag with the dimensions of 8 inches wide
by 5 inches tall with a width of 2 inches or less. If your purse does not
meet the above requirements, you are allowed to bring a clear plastic bag,
no larger than 1 gallon, into the venue with your belongings.
What if I need ADA assistance?
Anyone with ADA needs and requiring additional time to be seated may enter 15 minutes prior to posted door time. For more information about accessible seating click here. Please be advised that event times are subject to change due to a variety of conditions including inclement weather, illness, and transportation delays that are out of our control. For this reason, any delayed events performing on the original event date are nonrefundable.
I may need to take a break, is there intermission or opener?
There will be an intermission between artist sets. At that time you can stretch your legs, use the restroom, or grab a drink and concessions. Please plan accordingly.
I’m a smoker, can I smoke outside and come back in?
Yes, you must receive a stamp, have your ticket and go through security in order to re-enter the venue. Re-entry into the theatre will be prohibited after the headliner goes on stage.
Why should I arrive early?
- To pass through security check points such as wanding and bag checks in a timely manner. Please have your ticket & ID ready and be prepared to open your coat or small purse.
- Check out the merchandise! The Kalamazoo State Theatre and artists will have branded apparel and items available for sale.

- Explore and experience the venue’s charm and vibes. Renowned architect John Eberson designed our theatre in 1927 to creat the feel of a Spanish garden.

What is the camera & mobile device policy?
Unless otherwise posted, absolutely NO professional photography, audio or video recording of any kind is allowed during the performance. Cell phone photography and point-and-shoot cameras are allowed. Professional cameras and detachable lens cameras are NOT allowed in the venue unless approved by management.

Where can I park for this event?
Kalamazoo State Theatre’s main parking lot is located just south of the
theatre at the intersection of South Burdick & Cedar St. and is available
starting at 5:00p.m. for $10 per car. For additional parking options, please

How do I pick up Will Call tickets?
Will call tickets will be available for pick up at the Kalamazoo State Theatre box office beginning at 6:00p.m. on the day of the event. We will need to see a valid photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets to pick up from will call.
When will the box office be open?
Standard box office hours are Fridays 11:00a.m. – 6:00p.m. and show days
starting at 3:00p.m. Hours may vary on event days. Please see upcoming

Fri. 2/28: 11:00am – 6:00pm
Sat. 2/29: 3:00pm – 8:30pm
Will concessions and bar be open at this event?
Our concessions open when doors open. We offer a full bar with
multiple points of sale throughout the venue & we accept cash or credit. All
concessions may be taken to your seat. Please make sure to try out our
new recycling initiative, The Yucket, when disposing of plastic
cups. Popcorn is available for purchase at the bar.
