Job Title: Arrival Ambassador
Property: Mardi Gras Enterprises Inc., d/b/aKalamazoo State Theatre / www.kazoostate.com
Hours: Part-Time / Event Specific – hours are variable including late nights and weekends (dependent upon show schedule). Reports 30-60 minutes before doors open on show night, and remain on duty until the line subsides. Average shift is 2-3 hours.

Starting Pay Range: $15/hour
Job Summary
The Arrival Ambassador is responsible for ensuring a smooth process for patrons upon venue arrival. This consists of checking ID’s for legal drinking age, wrist banding the appropriate patrons, enforcing venue’s bag policy, and policies requested by tour. Arrival Ambassadors will lead with customer service while closing line gaps and directing patrons to the Box Office, Skip the Line, main line, and parking. The Arrival Ambassadors must become familiar with ticketing to easily differentiate between the venue’s various ticket types, both physical and mobile. Events include but are not limited to concerts, comedians, and films. Weather conditions will vary throughout the year and the Arrival Ambassador must come prepared for all elements. Arrival Ambassadors must be quick on their feet, communicative, outgoing and solution-oriented. This position reports to the House Manager via radio if there are any issues, bottlenecks, or customer concerns, and helps to coordinate a solution.
Requirements and Qualifications
· Minimum of one year experience checking IDs for drinking age
· Excellent interpersonal skills, even temperament, ability to problem solve effectively
· Demonstrated understanding and passion for the performing arts and live entertainment industry.
· Creative brainstorming skills, ability to take initiative, set and meet high standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to have fun, stay calm, and work with others in a sometimes stressful, fast paced, energetic environment.
· Strong work ethic, reliable and self-motivated, with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to work flexible hours, accommodating the theatres event schedule.
· Must provide: email capable phone (be available via email, cell and text), valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; speak loudly and clearly; hear and respond in busy and noisy environments. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include color, close, distance, and peripheral vision and depth perception.
