“Banana Boat Song (Day-O)” really has been stuck in all our heads for 30 years thanks to Beetlejuice, now is your chance to sing along while watching the classic film on the Kalamazoo State Theatre big screen on Saturday October 27th!

Tim Burton’s classic film celebrated its 30th anniversary in March, but the celebrations are just getting started. Join us at Kalamazoo State Theatre for an extra special celebration of the cult classic. Dress up in your best Halloween gear, take advantage of our selfie station, indulge in a few sweets and drink specials and have a spooky fun time at Kalamazoo State Theatre on October 27th!

Beetlejuice Storyline: After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose “help” quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.
