David's Productions is proud to announce the return of the "Reggae
Legend Birthday Bash 2009" to the State Theatre, Kalamazoo,
MI. This will be an evening of music and dance paying tribute to
the king of Reggae music, on his 64th Birthday. Bob Marley, born
February 6, 1945, is internationally recognized as the Godfather
of Reggae music. While he did not invent this timeless music form,
he became Reggae's seminal figure around the world. Kick back, mon,
and relax to the sounds of Reggae in celebration of Marley's birthday.
Performers paying their respect to the king of Reggae music will
be Kalamazoo's own Zion Lion, Gizzae featuring former members of
Ziggly Marley backing band and from WIDR 89.1 FM - DJs Assane, Ras
I.B. and Jonathan all will be part of the night's entertainment.
Caribbean food and craft vendors will be on site selling their goods.
So put on your dancing shoes and come ready to party.
The Reggae Legend Birthday Bash "After
Party" (18+) which will be held at Papa Pete's 502 South Burdick
(one block south of the State Theatre) featuring the DJ Assane from
11 PM to 2 AM.
