“You don’t need much more than a guitar or a piano and a voice. That’s what I’ve responded to, even when I was a kid. Even now, I like to think that both Joni (Mitchell) and I are expressing some sort of truth—hers might be just a little deeper, that’s all.”
Stephen Lynch

Comedian Stephen Lynch will again run wild in the streets of Kalamazoo October 26th for a one night stand at the Kalamazoo State Theatre. The former Western Michigan University student will take the stage with his guitar and unwavering wit during WMU’s homecoming week with material from his upcoming CD release, “The Craig Machine.”

Lynch made a name for himself on “Comedy Central Presents” in 2000 receiving rave reviews. Put simply, Lynch is a guy with a guitar and lyrics that teeter on the edge of offensive but manage to instead party riotously in the realm of hilarity.

In July 2005, iTunes named both of Lynch’s CD’s “A Little Bit Special” and “Superhero” as two of the 100 best-selling independent albums in iTunes history.

Aside from preparing his third CD for release this October 4th, Stephen has been in preparations to take stage in the new Broadway musical, “The Wedding Singer,” scheduled to open in the Spring of 2006. “The Wedding Singer” is based on the 1998 Adam Sandler film of the same name; Lynch will be playing Sandler’s role of Robbie Hart.
