Sunday, February 24th, 2:30PM: Teen Filmmaker Festival
The Kalamazoo Public Library presents the 10th annual Teen Filmmaker Festival!
All tickets are general admission and free of charge.
The Kalamazoo Public Library, 315 S. Rose St., is excited to unveil the winning films for the 10th Annual Teen Filmmaker Festival at the State Theatre on Sunday, February 24 at the State Theatre (404 S. Burdick St., 49007.)
Come see Michigan’s talented teen directors (aged 13-18) as they make their big screen debut! There will be drama, action, comedy and more! More than 120 films were submitted to the Kalamazoo Public Library for consideration. A selection of these 10 minute films will be shown to the public and juried for the following Award Categories:
- Grand Prize for Best Film
- Best Animation
- Best Experimental Film
- Best Music Video
- Best Short Film
- Best Technical Merit
- Best Cinematic Merit
- Judge’s Choice
- People’s Choice
Award winners will be announced at www.kpl.gov/teenfilmest.

Kalamazoo’s Public Media Network will cover the Teen Filmmaker Festival. PMN will broadcast entries chosen for the festival, awards presentations, and interviews with the winners.
